What areas do you cover?

We are based in Witham, Essex and cover the whole of the South East of England, including Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Maldon, Brentwood, Southend and into Suffolk, Kent, Hertfordshire and Greater London. Travel within 30 miles of our base is included free of charge. For locations beyond 30 miles, we charge £1.50 per mile for the round trip, which is calculated automatically from your postcode in the quote tool before you book. For larger multi-day projects further afield, contact us for a tailored quote.

How much do your services cost?

Accepted Answer

Wedding coverage is a flat £199 day package of up to six hours plus travel. Aerial Property Packs and roof inspections are £75/hr + expenses. Construction is £100/hr + expenses. Thermal imaging is £160/hr + expenses. Surveying is £200/hr + expenses. Yacht filming is £199/hr + expenses and security is £175/hr + expenses. Solar surveys are flat-rate packages: Solar View £179 and Solar Ready £349. Quote Visits are £20/hr + expenses and the cost is deducted from the final job charges if you proceed. Question 3

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsuitable for flying (high winds, rain, poor visibility), we will reschedule your booking at no extra cost. We monitor the forecast for your exact postcode in the days before the job, and our quote tool shows a live weather advisory when you pick your date — if rain is likely it will warn you that the flight may be postponed. If we do have to move the date we will offer you the nearest suitable alternatives, and your deposit simply carries over to the new date.

Are you CAA certified and insured?

Yes, we are fully CAA certified (Operator ID GBR-OP-BGR89LTSP3LK) and hold comprehensive £1M public liability insurance. All flights are conducted in compliance with UK Civil Aviation Authority regulations, with a documented risk assessment completed before every job. How do I book a drone service?

You can book directly through our website using the instant quote and booking calendar on the front page: choose your service, enter your postcode, pick a date and pay a 25% deposit to secure the slot. If you prefer to talk it through first, contact us by phone (07568 346085), WhatsApp, or email (info@power-drones.com) — we respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. Bookings need at least three days' notice for flight planning, and you can reserve up to two slots per day subject to availability.

What types of drones do you use?

We use professional DJI drones selected for each job: the Mavic Pro 4 with Hasselblad camera for premium 6K video and high-resolution photography, the Matrice 4T Thermal for radiometric thermal imaging inspections, the DJI Avata 360 with Goggles for indoor FPV fly-throughs, and the DJI Flip for lightweight operations in tight spaces. Matching the aircraft to the task means better image quality, safer flights and shorter time on site.

How long does it take to receive my photos/videos?

Standard turnaround is 3-5 working days for fully edited photos and videos, delivered digitally with a USB memory stick option for Aerial Property Packs. Edited work includes colour correction, cropping and, for video, music and branding where requested. Rush delivery can be arranged for an additional fee, and raw footage can be provided on the same day if required.

Can you fly anywhere?

Accepted Answer

While we can fly in most locations, some areas have restrictions due to airspace regulations (near airports such as Stansted, military sites, prisons and built-up congested areas). We conduct thorough airspace checks and risk assessments before every flight as part of our standard three-day planning process, and where an authorisation is possible we apply for it on your behalf. If a location genuinely cannot be flown, we will tell you before you pay anything.
